Chocolate-coated Yam Candies

"And oh, they had lovely fresh yams, so I bought a bunch and..."

Ichigo was only half-listening to Orihime's story about her morning. It wasn’t that he wasn’t interested, but with her so close he was understandably distracted. As she chattered, his gaze roamed over her animated features. Her hair shone in the afternoon sun, and her eyes were bright, but his eyes kept wandering back to her mouth as she spoke. With each cheerful word her mouth moved precisely, pink lips framing white teeth as she smiled.

"...chocolate-coated yam candies for them to take back..."

Ichigo felt her hands twitch against his leg as she gestured unconsciously while describing her latest culinary experiments. At the moment, he wasn't even terribly concerned about the fact that he'd very likely have to sample it later on, though he did make a note to pick up some antacids before dinner.

"...should have saved some for us, but—why are you looking at me like that?"

Ichigo just shook his head and smiled. Then he leaned forward and kissed her.

This took way longer to draw then I anticipated. Not sure if the results warrant the effort but I love the pose.

EDIT: I fixed her jawline cause it was bugging me and then I took a better scan. I find if I squeeze the scanner lid tight shut while scanning so no excess light gets in I get less glare.
